Q: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE INSTITUTE OF BEAUTY AND WELLNESS FOR YOUR BARBERING PROGRAM?
ROLAN: I was looking for the right fit for me. I chose Aveda because it was a well known school and I knew I would get a great quality education.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BEAUTY, FASHION, OR WELLNESS TREND AT THE MOMENT?
ROLAN: I love that natural beauty is becoming important. Going natural is my favorite trend in the beauty industry right now.
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE AVEDA PRODUCT?
ROLAN: Men’s Pureformance Grooming Clay. I love the way your hair is moldable, but firm, and NATURAL! My whole family uses it!
Q: WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB AFTER GRADUATION?
ROLAN: I dream to become the best barber I can be while getting better everyday. I dream to become known worldwide for giving a great haircut and leaving a piece of art. Also, I dream to have a job where I can easily support my family.

Q: WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHERS THINKING ABOUT COMING TO SCHOOL AT THE INSTITUTE OF BEAUTY AND WELLNESS?
ROLAN: You are never too old and it’s never too late to start. Education is crucial. Put yourself in the best possible place to learn all you can and know that school never ends, it just moves with you. Thank you to all of my instructors and the whole IBW team. You have given me the tools and encouragement I need. You will all always be a huge part of my success.
